About Lingual Orthodontics
With lingual orthodontics you can straighten your teeth with braces that are not visible. The reason for this is because they are placed on the inner surface of your teeth, inside the mouth where they cannot be seen. Conventional fixed braces fit on the outer surface of the teeth.
Incognito is a custom made lingual appliance system which has revolutionized lingual orthodontic treatment. It is completely invisible, easy to keep clean and no one knows you are having orthodontic treatment. Treatment begins by taking dental impressions, x-rays and photographs of the patient's teeth and sending them to Lingualtechnik GmbH in Bad Essen, Germany. Technicians then move the teeth on a model to their final positions as prescribed by the orthodontist. Custom software then manufactures the appliance.
It's designed specifically for an individual patient's teeth so this means the appliance fits perfectly. Both the brackets and wires of the Incognito appliance are manufactured individually with CAD/CAM1 technology. The flat design of the gold alloy brackets provides maximum patient comfort and rapid adaptation to speech.
Almost any malocclusion can be corrected whether you are an adult or a teenager. Lingual orthodontic treatment provides high quality results.
